8-Super alloy disks are 10” diameter and
PERMANENTLY WELDED to an extra large 1
5/8” O.D. Tube which forms the spool shaft.
9-Disc spacing is 1-1/2” effective separation         
which allows a fine, seed bed to result.
(The gathering boards provide a slight packing to the sides of the bed.
The disk spools perform the function of breaking up clumps and refining the top bed surface, leaving it loose for an optimal planting surface.)
10-The bearing pockets allow them to
maintain perfect alignment with axle under all
conditions.                                                                 
11-Cast iron bearings are easy to service and are lubricated by a grease fitting.
12– Seal washer is used to seal bearing from
contamination.
13-Seal spring maintains pressure against the
seal washer
14-Stainless steel stub axle is long wearing
and easily replaced. The axle is inserted and
fastened in the end of the spool shaft.

Model 4500 can shape a bed 4″ high and 48″ wide maximum, or 6″ high and 40″ wide maximum.  
Narrower beds can also be shaped.  It is designed for tractors with 60″ – 72″ tire centers.
